Meet Milana Shaikh, L.Ac., Dipl.OM
Hi, I’m Milana Shaikh, a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and a nationally board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology through the NCCAOM.
With over 2,500 hours of clinical training and a Master’s degree from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) at MCPHS, my approach is rooted in tradition and shaped by real-world experience. I’ve trained in Chinese and Japanese acupuncture, with additional studies in Korean Saam, Dr. Tung acupuncture, and pediatric-style acupuncture. My clinical work includes integrative care at Cambridge Health Alliance, treating complex inpatient cases alongside physicians, and specialized focus on orthopedic and musculoskeletal health at NESA’S Acupuncture Treatment Center.
I take a holistic, individualized approach to care, weaving together acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other healing modalities to support your body and spirit. I also bring in tools from my background as a Certified Yoga Teacher, CMA-accredited Sound Healer, and Reiki practitioner, allowing for a flexible and integrative experience when appropriate.
I have a special interest in supporting mental health, women’s health, and pain management. I welcome patients with a wide range of concerns—from chronic pain and stress to hormonal and digestive issues. My goal is always to help you feel grounded, balanced, and connected to your own healing potential.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll find me hiking, making pottery and jewelry, or reconnecting with nature and community—practices that inspire the presence and compassion I bring to each session.
